Firenza Stone

See the full slab, plan the whole kitchen, and have it installed by the team that cut it.

An Akron kitchen remodel usually starts long before demolition, in the quiet worry that the granite in a two-inch sample will look nothing like the slab on your counter. Cabinets, flooring, and stone all have to agree, yet most of those choices get made from catalog photos and chips that never show the whole picture.

Firenza Stone works the other way around. We are a family-owned company with four generations of stone craftsmanship and roots in the Province of Molise, Italy. From our Eastlake design center, a short drive north of Akron, you compare full slabs and finishes in person, then have the work fabricated and installed by our own team, so the kitchen comes together as one project instead of a stack of separate purchases.

Firenza Stone

Seeing the Whole Kitchen Before You Commit

Akron homes run a wide range, from the well-built Tudors and colonials of West Akron and Highland Square to the newer construction out toward Fairlawn and Copley. Each one asks something different of a kitchen. At Firenza, countertops, cabinetry, flooring, and tile are chosen in the same place, guided by designers who match every material to how your room is actually used. It is also where Invisacook fits in, the invisible induction cooktop built directly into the countertop for a cleaner, more open surface.

Countertop and Surface Choices for Akron Kitchens

Our 30,000-square-foot slab gallery holds more than 1,500 slabs, viewed under natural and LED lighting so the stone you approve is the stone you receive. The right surface depends on how hard the kitchen works:

  • Granite, a hard-wearing natural stone with distinctive grain, at home in an established Akron kitchen
  • Quartz, engineered for a uniform look and simple daily care
  • Quartzite, prized for dramatic natural veining and real stone hardness
  • Marble, timeless and soft in appearance where the counter should draw the eye
  • Soapstone, warm to the touch and naturally resistant to heat and staining
  • Porcelain and ultra-compact surfaces, slim, contemporary, and built to resist scratches and heat

Our designers walk through the tradeoffs in person, maintenance included, so the material suits the kitchen rather than the other way around.

Our Products

Firenza is a full kitchen partner, not only a countertop shop. Every element of the room is selected and coordinated in one place:

Why Akron Homeowners Choose Firenza Stone

Four generations of stonework is the reason our team can read a slab and know how it will perform once it is cut, sealed, and lived on. Akron homeowners choose Firenza for proof they can confirm in person:

  • A family-owned company in its fourth generation, with origins in Molise, Italy
  • A 10,000-square-foot design center of full kitchen vignettes, cabinetry, tile, and flooring
  • A 30,000-square-foot climate-controlled slab gallery with more than 1,500 slabs on display
  • In-house CNC fabrication and computer-aided design that keep the plan and the finished work aligned
  • Designers and installers who stay with the project from selection through completion

The result is a kitchen you helped choose in person, built by the same team from first cut to final install.

Firenza Stone

Serving Akron, OH

Akron pairs established neighborhoods of older, well-built homes with newer suburbs still taking shape, and both benefit from materials chosen for the long term. Our design center sits a short drive north in Eastlake, so comparing real slabs and finishes is an easy afternoon rather than a project of its own. When a showroom visit is hard to schedule, we also offer in-home consultations and assess the kitchen in its actual light and layout before recommending anything.

I seriously thank Firenza Stone daily for my gorgeous kitchen , and my stunning bathrooms. Marcy Gould directed my choices to Taj Mahal Quartzite for kitchen counter, installing 9" backsplashes. Extra pieces carried over to both bathrooms for new counter tops. Then she showed me two porcelain tiles for my bath to compliment the new counter tops. I trusted her choices and am now simply amazed at how everything came together. My bathroom floors are heated and Keith and his crew did a beautiful job installing everything. Do NOT hesitate to trust them for your work at your house!

We’re very happy with how our kitchen turned out and will definitely be using Firenza Stone again for our basement bathroom remodel. We highly recommend them!

Working with Anthony and the entire team at Firenza Stone was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Everyone was professional, knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly easy to work with. They guided me through every step of choosing the perfect quartzite for my kitchen renovation and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. The quality of the Taj Mahal quartzite is absolutely stunning, and I couldn’t be happier with how it transformed my kitchen. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, and installation exceeded my expectations. Anthony and his team truly care about their customers and take pride in their work. To Mike, Anthony, John, and Dominic Fimiani. I want to let all of you know what a great job Firenza Stone did on our kitchen granite countertops and gutting and totally remodeling two upstairs bathrooms. Carmen and Ken Miozzi were outstanding with their constant communication and attention to detail. Ken was on-site every day assuring everything was going as smoothly as possible. Carmens helping with design and immediate response on all the minor difference changes that occurred ( which we knew would happen with a complete remodeling job) was excellent. Both were very kind and considerate to both my wife and I and made sure the job was completly satisfied with all of our requests, changes, add-ons, etc. I have already suggested a neighbor down the street to use Firenza Stone for her remodeling needs too! Very happy with results. Our home looks beautiful now because of your great staff. Thank you again- Danny and Margie Flynn.

Tim came out to fix my pop-up in my crystal quartz countertop. The original cut-out was unsightly and subsequent attempts to repair it looked worse. Tim came in, took his time and applied his expertise to make it look beautiful. Thank you, Tim!

Thank you so much for a job well done. I had Tim come in and reseal my counter tops. Such a great job I feel like my counters look brand new. Tim was such a wonderful person, we talked the entire time I was here, like we need each other for years. See you in few years.

There was a spot of red dye on my bathroom quartz counter. Tim dug a small amount out and saw that it was getting bigger as he went deeper. He filled it with grey and it was less noticeable, but still there. So he dug that out and filled it with white and you can't see it at all now. I'm satisfied with a job well done.

FAQs

01Where can I see kitchen countertops and finishes in person near Akron, OH?

At Firenza Stone’s design center in Eastlake, a short drive north of Akron. You can walk the 30,000-square-foot slab gallery, compare more than 1,500 slabs under natural and LED lighting, and see cabinetry, tile, and flooring in full kitchen vignettes in one visit.

Both. Along with countertops, Firenza provides kitchen design, custom and semi-custom cabinetry, luxury flooring, designer tile, and Invisacook installation, all fabricated and installed by our own team. You can take on the whole kitchen or focus on specific pieces.

No. Many Akron homeowners come in undecided. Our designers help you compare granite, quartz, quartzite, marble, soapstone, and porcelain against your cabinets and layout, then weigh appearance, durability, and upkeep before you commit.

Yes. We offer in-home consultations for Akron homeowners, assessing your space in its actual light and layout and bringing tailored recommendations to you. Many homeowners pair an in-home visit with a trip to the slab gallery for final selection.

Because we cut and finish stone on our own CNC equipment, the slab you approved is the one that gets templated, fabricated, and installed by our team. That keeps the plan and the finished counter aligned, which matters in older Akron homes where layouts are rarely perfectly square.
